Giles Coren
Duck rillettes were unfatty but full of richness and came with a slash of expertly home-made foie gras terrine. Three rounds of imported saucisse de Morteau were sweet and garlicky and served on warm boiled potato slices with a good sauce gribiche.

MetroLife
“The cooking is good here, well-balanced dishes, intense flavours, good seasoning and a healthy dollop of real passion…Le Vacherin is a relative newcomer, but already chef proprietor Malcolm John seems tohave won the hearts and minds of the locals with a combination of passionate cooking and a rather old-fashioned French menu.” – Charles Campion

The Green - Magazine
"We were spoilt for choice with the food, and there was plenty to fulfil a romantic evening out, including the signature dish of whole, baked Vacherin to share. I opted for the plate of charcuterie, which would have been a meal on its own and was imaginatively presented on a rustic cheese board."

"Underrated and overlooked" (except by us) in a part of Chiswick "lacking serious restaurants" , this "very french" eatery is appreciated for its "terrific classic cooking" that's " not too heavy" ; the fare, along with " diligently discreet service" , makes it " worth the price".
